Fertilisation and root development for leek and onion

Alliums have a sparse root system relative to their above-ground mass, which makes them dependent on good availability in the upper soil profile. The leek trial is the only one in our material run with replicated plots — Allgrow gave higher yield in all four.

Our own leek trial ran at 1.5 % and still gave higher yield in all four plots. Staying at the low end of the range is not a problem.
